Bimble and Circuits
Waiting for my license to come back, so still can't leave the playground without being specially signed out, so I'm just going for a quick bimble.
Fairly cloudy today but it has lifted to about 2500'. Head off north to Kingsclere, and find a large gap in the clouds, so I climb to about 4000' to have a look around - quite interesting but as I head towards the A34 (west) the sun is in my eyes restricting visibility and all too soon I head back down to go below the approaching cloudbase. The head south down to Chilbolton (past interesting folly), and then back to Popham for a reasonable join and good landing.
A couple more more circuits for some landing practice also go well. Yes, it's calm and windless, but I'm still quite pleased.
The
club has a barbeque tonight and about 14 of us brave the cold and dark and botchelism.
Very pleasant!
