Butser and Back

We were supposed to be having a company audit today, but it was canceled as the auditor was ill. I decide to take the opportunity to take afternoon off for quick flight. You never know when you can get one in with the current weather.

I fly off down towards the south. I haven't really planned a flight (due to late notice), so I'm just heading towards Butser Hill. I go slightly past it and then turn around in what I thought was good time but progress is much slower into wind than I anticipated. I need to get back for half past sunset deadline (when the airfield closes), so I put the nose down and cruise at a relatively fast speed of 90 knots. I get back, join and and with at least 4 mins to spare.

Lesson learnt.
