Trevor Round IOW
Trevor has always managed to find an excuse not to come flying with me (some even sounded plausible). At a party at his house on Saturday night, his sister asked if he had come (flying) and he said there had always been a reason why he couldn't - he went a little pale when I asked what he was doing tomorrow.
The next day at the airfield, it was a bit windier
than would be ideal. Some people had already bloused out of flying - didn't
seem too bad to me, but I understand it was reducing. Preped the aircraft and
off we went, down towards the New
Forest. After a while Trev relaxed a bit. He too was surprised how slow it seemed
up there.
Crossing the Solent at Hurst Castle, then around the Needles and around the coast to St Catherines Point. Gaining some height for the crossing back towards Hayling Island, a quick loop around my brothers house, then north towards Petersfield and then back to Popham.
It
was a nice flight really with very little turbulance. Full marks to Trevor for
coming, if he did feel nervous about it and for having the confidence in me
to overcome his worries.
