I Needed That

Again, I haven't flown for a while, so I really need to get some air under my feet. An opportunity presents itself on a Monday morning where the weather is obliging for once. I think I will take a Eurostar - good practice for the EuroFOX as you use the same hands.

Once fuelled and checked out, I head off north from runway 03 and go up to Hannington Mast. I'm curious to see what airspeed I get at 3800rpm - it's about 70 knots, so slightly slower than our EuroFOX - but then it does all depend on the prop pitch. Then west to the A34 and hen south along it, with a few steep-backed turns for fun. I finish up with some circuit practice with four touch and goes before a full stop landing on 03.

Yep, I needed that!
