Not wonderful conditions today; it's a bit blowy, but safe. On my own and no real plan - just to go for a bimble. I am also testing my new camera mount (recently printed) that attaches my cheap video camera to the jury struts.
The
wind is from the east, so I take off on runway 08 and then turn to the north.
Going round the Odiham MATZ stub, I decide to turn back east to the north of
Basinggrad. Then I form the idea of flying over to Sandhurst and over my house
- haven't been over here for a while. It's a little bumpy, but I don't want
to go high and fight extra headwind. I go past Stratfield Saye House which looks
nice.
On
to Sandhurst - it all looks a bit different from up here, but I spot Wellington
College, then Eagle House School and then my road. Passing along the road, I
find my house at the end - looks small.
Continuing
I can see the Royal Military Academy further on, so decide to have a look at
that - it's actually quite impressive. Then back for another turn past the house
and a troll around the locality.
When I'm done, I then head back west with a somewhat higher groundspeed with the tailwind. Despite the air being bumpy, I have a nice landing on 08.
Great!
