Time: 16:15 - 17:15 (PUT)

Aircraft: Ikarus C42 - G-CDMS

Exercise: Yet even more circuits - Ex 12 & 13

Friday the 13th, but it's good luck for me! I haven't flown for over a month due to bad weather and a business trip to Dresden. But today, I get to! Only a single lesson today.

Can't remember the last time I took off on runway 08, so a bit of a refresher. Once airborne, you have to jink left and right to avoid overflying the petrol station (not allowed), but to give yourself enough space to complete the microlight circuit.

The last time I tried the microlight circuit it was just too much for me - the workload was too high, so I had to use the larger GA (general aviation) circuit. It is better this time due to the experience I have gained, but still a bit shakey at first.

But I'm improving each go - at last I am looking out the window instead of at the gauge needles. However, I also get chance to look at the T's and P's. After a while, I also kid myself that I am getting a better visual perception of height too - I detect when I'm too high, before looking at the altimeter.

Still getting nervous/excited at the point of landing.

Still frustratingly not good enough ..... but getting better!
