In for some supervised solo practice evening lesson. When I finally escape from work (later than I wanted) I realise I haven't got my kit. I try to rush home to collect it, but the traffic is bad. Get to the airfield 15 minutes late.
After I have prepped and fuelled the aircraft, for some reason, I can't get it started. I try a bit of choke and even the auxiliary fuel pump - no joy. And now everyone else has gone or is up in the air. I have a bit of a look around and decide to have another go after 10 minutes - hooray it starts; maybe I had flooded it?
All I have time for is 3 or 4 circuits - nowhere near the threshold, but quite smooth, so I'm relatively pleased.
